Read on to see an overview of the styles that are ruling the 2017 autumn/winter season.
All White Everything
There are a good number of white shoes in different styles with different heights and different shapes on the runway. We went from the go-go boots by Miu Miu to Dries Van Noten’s pumps. We love these and others like them because they will most certainly function perfectly with different styles of outfits throughout the year.
And the Seventies are back
We don’t know whether it was the seven in 2017 that inspired a seventies comeback, but we love it. For a weekend out on the town, Mulberry’s scarf tied strap bag will be the perfect companion and for everyday wear, we would recommend Chloe’s T-bar shoes and Dior’s saddle bag. These are only a few of the seventies accessory styles that were reimagined by brilliant designers, so be sure to look out for more.
Let’s Celebrate Femininity
It was almost as if everyone decided it was time to get rid of all that tomboyish sportswear and flood the runways with brilliant feminine touches. We are talking about the beaded Mary Janes by Prada and others like them.
Boots, boots Everywhere
Of course, we can expect boots every autumn/winter season and this year is no exception with loads of them around. Designers favoured more laid back knee high boots matched with fluid skirts and dresses. From the glittery to the smart and chic, there were quite a few fantastic and diverse pieces on the runway.
Let’s go Craft Crazy
Crafts were another big trend this season and we can guarantee that you will love every bit of it. From JW Anderson’s brilliant inlay knit to Dolce & Gabbana’s folklore painted florals, craft lovers can be certain to find at least one favourite item.
Show Some Love to Rhinestones
From rhinestones to space dust, accessories this season were sparkly and full of dazzle. Alexander Wang threw in encrusted evening pouches and Saint Laurent dipped their slouchy boots in ‘shine’ sea.
Hats are Back
The recess from hats is over as the runways were flooded with hats of different shapes, sizes, colours and textures. From Miu Miu to Christian Dior, there are quite a few good hats to look out for this season.
Now you know what to buy on your next shopping spree. You’re welcome!
